Katie offers 12 years of dental experience combined with a passion for clinical dentistry and client care. She recently moved from Calgary AB with her husband and two children to enjoy the lifestyle that Vancouver Island has to offer. Hiking and sightseeing is on the top of their list for fun activities to do as a family and they are looking forward to having the chance to go whale watching. Katie enjoys continuous learning and can often be found at seminars on topics such as personal and professional development, real estate, investments and many others.

Cumberland Trails, Royston Ship Wreck, Seal Bay Park, and the best view is behind the airport where Knight Road meets Lazo right on the waterfront.

Chynna graduated from Vancouver Island University as a certified dental assistant in June 2011. Raised in Nanaimo, BC, Chynna loves to spend time outdoors during the summer time with friends and family. In her free time, Chynna enjoys cooking, spending time with her 3 fur babies and walking along the local beaches. Chynna’s competence and ability to connect well with patients has been a huge asset to our dental team. Her experience working in periodontics as well as general dentistry has been a huge asset to our practice.

My favorite spot in the Comox Valley is the goose spit because I spent many summer days there having barbeques and swimming.
Audry has been passionate about dentistry for the past 22 years. She began her career as a certified dental assistant, graduating from Malaspina College in 1994. She worked in a general practice until returning to school in 2010 to become a registered dental hygienist. She graduated from Vancouver Community College’s Dental Hygiene program in 2011. Audry has worked in both general and periodontal practices, working with Dr. Tassos Irinakis in one of his satellite offices since 2012.
Audry is a proud member of the Comox Valley Dental Hygiene Society and continues to facilitate the society’s member reference library. She is committed to community and to every patient’s overall health, oral health and education being the up most important.
Audry lives in the Comox Valley and loves spending time with family and friends, including her new granddaughter, running, hiking, scrapbooking and motorcycling with her husband.

After spending 34 years as a hair stylist in Campbell River and raising my two sons, I felt I needed a change, and decided to enter the daunting world of dentistry. Entering the industry this late came with a steep learning curve. Although challenging, I find it quite rewarding and interesting. I get a great deal of support from the wonderful team at Courtenay Dental and I am enjoying building relationships with the patients in our practice.
You will find Phyllis in our Hygiene co-coordinator office. Her attention to detail and her organizational skills are a huge assist to this position and she has been the perfect addition to our admin team.

On my days off…you will find me enjoying cottage life at Upper Campbell Lake with family and friends. Activities such as hiking, paddle boarding and kayaking are our typical past times.

Allison was born and raised in Nanaimo, B.C. and graduated from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2010. She loves to travel and spent several years working and gaining life experience in B.C. and Australia before returning to school to pursue her diploma in dental hygiene. She graduated from her dental hygiene program back east with honours before once again returning home to the island. Allison now considers the Comox Valley her home and is an avid member of the local Just in Time Choir, an alternate curler & as well as a novice boxer in her spare time. In the summers she enjoys hiking and camping with her friends and family.

Kendra – CDA
Kendra was born and raised in Campbell River, graduating from French Immersion at Carihi. After high school Kendra took her time deciding on her ultimate career path, spending time in England as an Au-pair, taking several different post secondary courses and programs as well as working as a cook for 13 years at one Campbell River restaurant before ultimately deciding to follow in her mother’s footsteps, becoming a CDA. Kendra graduated from Camosun’s (Victoria) Certified Dental Assisting program in 2019 and has continued learning new techniques and practices since beginning at Courtenay Dental Health in June of 2019.
Stacie completed her Dental hygiene diploma in Prince George, BC in 2013. Since then she has worked in Northern BC, Kamloops, Victoria and now the Comox Valley. Stacie moved to Courtenay in 2018 from Victoria and is enjoying the relaxed lifestyle the Valley offers. Some of her favorite activities here are rock climbing, hiking, checking out the local pubs and restaurants, and gardening
Kristen graduated in 2004 from NAIT as a certified dental assistant . Most of Kristen’s career so far has
been in oral surgery. She is certified as a dental anesthesia assistant (daance) , has her ACLS certificate,
and has been working in a sedation office for the last 7 years.
Kristen enjoys spending her free time with her two children and her puppy . She loves hiking,
photography, paddle boarding, traveling to hot tropical places and kickboxing/boxing.
Kristen is excited to join our practice to further develop her skills in dentistry and build meaningful
relationships with the wonderful patients in our practice
Brooklyn was born and raised in Cranbrook, BC and moved here and joined our team in August 2019. She Attended dental assisting school at the College of the Rockies located in the East Kootenay’s and graduated in 2018. While completing her studies she also played competitive volleyball for the college team.
Brooklyn has a diverse background as a Certified lifeguard and instructor, plays a number of musical instruments and is active in all outdoor activities and physical fitness. Fishing, hiking, camping and exploring are among her favourite activities as well as travelling to other countries to appreciate the many cultures. she is adventurous, loves creating memories and meeting new people.
